THOSE TAKING GABAPENTIN !

Hi ladies and gents I've just started gaba 300mg for first two days then 600mg for another two days then on third day 900mg a day the thing is I've took one this morning and it's worked not totally but my god it's worked I feel a little sleepy but the pain was bad this morning now it's gone not totally bit def made a difference it feels like my body is numb ? Is this how it's meant to feel ??

    Hi sadie;  I'm pleased that you are finding the Gabapentin is working for you, as it does for me, too.............I wouldn't say that I "feel numb"....but do not take as much as you are....I take 2 x 400mgms per day, and find that this is enough for me....but take Amitriptylline as well at night.....do you feel that you  need 900 mgms per day, or could you decrease a little?   Discuss with your GP and see what he/she feels?....but to have pain relief is a Big plus.......................Bron

      Hi Hun

      I'm currently only on the 300mg I've got to take it up to 900mg gradually but to be honest I'd like to go to 600 and stay there so I'm going to do that and tell my dr that this is easing the pain then if it gets worse then I can always go up to 900mg
