Thought I had to fart..bloody mucus came out instead.

I've been more active than usual today, did some heavy lifting/pushing(moving a refrigerator, a couple of tables, an older fairly heavy microwave), didn't think I was straining myself all that much. Not sure if I have a hemorrhoid or what. It didn't hurt when it came out, I honestly just thought I had to let some gas pass and that happened. Had some cramps during my activity, thought I just had to go to the bathroom, went and I'm fairly sure I actually 'went', so that's why the mucus caught me so off guard. I didn't notice any blood or anything when I wiped before, so it was even more weird.

For context, I'm used to having cramps when I need to use the restroom or just randomly, I've dealt with horrible cramps and abdominal pain since I was 12 or so and I went to the hospital for them but they couldn't find anything wrong. Not sure if it's related or not, just thought it might be useful to know. They did a rectal exam, ultrasound on my, ah..bits, nothing concerned anyone. I haven't been eating anything new or different as of late, I've got a balanced diet, I eat plenty of fruit along with meat and carbs and such. Are there any foods or activities I should avoid in case it is a hemorrhoid? I don't even know what to ask, I don't know what's happening in the first place.

I think it sounds odd so would check with your doctor. I had something similar as a one off, went to the dr and asked to be referred as I was freaked out. They did a local exam and found a small haemorrhoid inside which I didn’t know I had. Best to check.
