THR follow up

i had THR 16 weeks ago and feel abandoned as have had no follow up from the hospital in spite of ne ringingvthe 'help' line. i have telephone appointment in another 3 weeks but i need face to face contact. am struggling with my THR as feels very stiff and always feels like im sitting on something when i sit down. still cant walk very far aa it hurts and have been doing the exercises they told me to do. when i had my thr on right hip 20 years ago that was great and the consultant saw me 3 weeks after, took xray and had good chat and that has been fine but feel ive gone backwards here and not getting any better. is it too much to ask for follow up face to face appointment before damage has gone too far?
