Three Weeks Today PO

So Three weeks on & im finally begining to feel somewhat human. Still insanely tired. This morning I went downstairs had breakfast , had a good old tidy up, did some dusting / polishing. Bit of cooking . Dealt with some admin/calls that I needed to catch up on. Had lunch and now I'm tired and few twinges in my thigh/ knee saying Ok Madam Enough!! I've taken heed and come up for a little snuggle in bed, maybe a snooze. I may add I was wandering around with NO crutch!😆👍

Soooo that was 4 hrs in all. Not too bad me thinks.

Hydro tomorrow Defo not gonna let myself end up like last week, couldn't move for three days!!

Onwards & upwards. Xxx

District nurse took off the first one and put on the new one after a week. Although with not a little trepidation I took off that one myself after another week. No problems at all thank goodness

I had ny clips removed after 12 days but had problems with the wound leaking went back and doctor said it was ok and redressed etc touch wood it has now stopped leaking so my husband took the dressing off today 18 days after the op the wound looks pretty grim at the moment as he was a bit worried about touching it etc but so far at least no more leaking

I am three weeks post op. And have been told by Practice Nurse to remove my dressing yesterday! I still haven't taken it off because I feel worried I'm exposing it to infection or something. I know I'm being ridiculous, but it feels protected while it's covered. Maybe tomorrow!

I took mine off after 2 weeks and wound was nicely healing. After 3 weeks it will be ok for sure. Be brave do it today. By the way I thought the same as you and didn't fancy doing it myself bu then thought hey ho r u man or mouse. After a few squeaks I gingerly removed it and of course all was well

No way could I get arounf far enough to see to that dressing.

My wife was unable to cope with mine as the site was leaking quite a bit, went to my surgery and the nurse there did it, then she got the district nurse to come out to keep changing it until it healed up.

No problem after that - the wound then just looked pink.

once open to the air, it heals so much faster.

      Regards

Well done Gaby, you have cracked it, not giving in to doing too much.

I suddenly found out this morning that going around the house without a crutch was comfortable - another small step for man lol

I take paracetamol and anti inflammatories for other issues and that's all I have taken the whole time.

Thank you. I think I've been a bit on the slow side but maybe not lol.

Hope you keep doing well. X
