okay so i often get the sensation i have something stuck in my throat, i usually put it down to anxiety as i know a few people who suffer same thing. but i can also feel a tiny lump type thing on left side of my throat near middle of my throat but on left side of it. right near where my pulse is. its had me in a panic! cant seem to feel same thing on the right. cant see it unless i feel for it. is it normal? now im super aware of it. its driving me insane. anyone with same thing? im just getting over a cough but im sure ive felt it there before.

its called globus sensation. I had this 4 years ago for around a year non stop. Its caused by tension in your throat and face. I found when i yawned or pretended to yawn, it woukd eliviate the symptoms somewhat. If you see an ENT doctor, then can confirm thats eveything is ok. The trick is no matter how much you want to clear your throat, try and not do it unless you absolutely have to. That will stop the soreness and potential sore throat from throat clearing. If you feel alot of reflux from your stomach, ask for some medication such as omeprazole which will negate that stomach acid. Get wellsoon

could this also be the cause of the tiny lump? im not sure even what it is but is possibly a gland? its to the left of the middle.

i would ask your doctor to have a feel just to reassure you. But throat issues are extremely common with anxiety. The feeling that your throat is closing up etc if just your throat muscles tensing up. You will never get to the point of choking no matter how bad it feels.

Definitely connected with anxiety,Ive had the same sensation of a lump in my throat on and off for a few years which can be worse when I'm anxious. ..I was also told by a doctor that it can be brought on by stomach acid which can inflame or irritate a muscle in the throat making it swell
