Throat lump feeling

I had a lot of pain in my throat for about 5 weeks,think it was viral infection....anyhow eventually it went on his own ....I now have a lump feeling in my throat...I can swallow but only liquid stuff as scared I will choke ....when I eat anything feels like it stuck at bottom of my throat and eventually when the food goes down I get pain in my chest and ears .....my doctor put me on antibiotics but not helping , anyone have anything similar?? going back to my doctor tomorrow want to find out what it is as driving me crazy ....
