Hello everyone,

I need your opinions. I am currently stuck with undefined illnesses.

A long story to make it short.

I went through so my tests and doctors.. but not confirmed.

These are my symtoms and please tell me what I need to do or want to know what you can think of.

-My jaw chewing muscle gets tired easily and as I chew more, my throat swallowing muscle gets tired too

-Feels like throat muscle larynx have less swallowing sensations. I can’t multiple swallow my saliva or can’t swallow freely.

-Dry lips although I drink soy milks and 3 bottles of water through out the day.

-Throat and esophagus feel dry (like bearing with out oil)

-talking, walking short dinstance, lifting or drinking something (in the morning ) will give me a shortness of breath through out the day. It became pretty much harsh after I experience Dysphagia.

Tests

And more...

I am feeling more tired on my throat muscle as I used it more through out the day like doing throat strengthening excercises gave me a harder time to eat...

I lost value 16 lbs over 5 months..

I am worried that it can be a muscle disease .. or if it is an anxiety disorder..

Please help me to go to the right route...

It is a pain for everyone in my family right now....

i get the same thing pretty much only it effects all my muscles. i have even have had abnormal barium swallows and they still cant figure it out lol. when i get the weakness it helps to sleep  elevated or else my sinsues and ears stop draining and i get infections. i also get laryngeal spasms where i cant breathe or talk for a few seconds.

I had an episode and went to the er and they said my phosphate level was too low and gave me stuff to raise it, which helped my weakness within a few hours, but they have yet to find the underline illness causing the low phosphate levels. so the weakness is back.

Did you go talk to neuromuscular specialist yet ?What does larygrnal spasm feels like ? I just have throat tightness in general .. are you having hard to mutiple swallow like me due toe throat muscle gets tired too quick ?

I haven’t gone to that specialist yet... The next procedure is to numb inside my nose... put tubes up it each one to look down at the vocal cords and see how they’re doing... if they’re getting stuck and not allowing the opening of airway to fulling be open then I’m having to breathe harder and irritants get in but I can’t use my throat muscles to expel them. So it just makes my throat get tighter, which makes it harder to swallow.

The jaw part sounds like TMJ.. That you’ll have to see a dentist and may be referred to a specialist. The swallowing symptoms sound like mine. First off ... 3 bottles of water isn’t enough throughout the day. It depends on your age, weight, gender, activities, even weather and humidity. I got my husband and I a bottle that bluetooths to our phones. It varies depending on those things... but during hot temperatures lately It’s saying I should drink up to 92 ounces of water.

I was also surprised when I told my doctor I had a hard time swallowing, things like pills were getting stuck, felt sore in my throat at times and was making me feel like I was always over exerting myself on little things I’d do. Even seemed like all sprays, fumes... etc I could handle before was making it worse in my throat to where it’s feel sore, tight, and I’d end up with hoarseness sounding. Saw a pulmonary doctor and he said it was severe asthma. Inhalers didn’t help. All these things were put in my allergy list. My doctor finally sent me to an Asthma/Allergist specialist. After filling out the papers and talking to him he asked if I was ever told I may have VCD? Vocal Cord Dysfunction. I never heard of it but he explained the 2 vocal cords over the airway could possibly be getting stuck. I go in October 2 for a simple procedure to confirm it.

You may want to google it and see if it sounds like your symptoms and go from there. It also said if I have that I would need to see a speech therapist and also have some simple exercises for your vocal cords, like panting for one. Little things I’ve been doing have made a Huge Difference! Good news is I may not have all these allergies and it’s even helped with the hoarseness and swallowing. Hope some of this helps you!

Which MGravis test did you do?

Yup it came negative but I am going to get it retested because I heard it’s not always accurate... my GI suggested for Botoxing upper and lower esophageal sphincters.. but don’t know why my sphincters pressures are high .. and not sure upper sphincters pressure really affects my throat muscle .... I am really tired of this game ..

The reason I asked about which test you had was that the first time I was tested for MG only the ACHR Modulating AB blood test value was marginally positive. But 4 months later the ACHR Binding, Blocking and Modulating values were highly positive, confirming the rather tenuous initial diagnosis. So, a second test is probably worthwhile. At that point I must have had the MG for about 7 years with it coming and going, slowly becoming worse. I’ve determined one of the major things that exacerbates MG is stress, not necessarily big stresses but sometimes a lot of little stresses that add up, like dealing with some doctors.

I got my blood drawn last week and it is being tested for Mgravis as well. Along 5 months my symptom never fluctuated I guess it has been slowly got worse.... I am getting exhausted going to the hospital ... my upper and lower esophageal relaxation pressure is high and don’t know that is related to my throat problem..  My life is just paused since day 1 of my illness....
