I've signed up on behalf of my mum who has polymyalgia. she is suffering a significant flare up and aswell as shoulder pain her arm is painful but throbbing. she was checked over the weekend with an ecg and no heart problem detected but we are still concerned about this and have a GP appointment this morning. has anybody else experienced a throbbing/pulsing pain?

Yes, throbbing shoulder and arm pain, mostly in one arm but last few days both arms. I have good days and bad days. On a bad day both arms & shoulders and my right hand ache badly. As well as both hips.

every day unfortunately. the shoulders seem to take the worst course but also in groin and other joints. I can only wish you well and yo know this condition will pass in time . I know its hard as I often feel so low and alone with the pain but the mind is also a great healer. if you want to talk, please talk.
