Throbbing pain on right side of back near spine

Posted , 3 users are following.

I'm not sure if this is my back or something else, but today and yesterday I've been having on and off semi-painful spasms on my mid back just to the right of my spine. It doesn't really feel like my back itself but I don't want to jump to any conclusions as to what it could be. It sort of feels like a twinge or contraction in a muscle, and it throbs. Does anyone know what this could be? My anxiety is running wild at the thought this could be something awful with my organs...

You didn't mention your sex of age. This info would be helpful. Are you running a fever? Let's just say that for now that you're not running a fever. Then we probably want to look at the back as being the source of pain. It is recommended that you put ice on a new injury such as this. And you might want to give that a try but I'm a little concerned that might cause the muscle to spasm even more. If so then try Heat. And then I would Google stretches for your back and try some of those at home. There's also a chance that you've got a pinched nerve. Stretching your back a few times a day can help that.

I'm an 18 year old female. I've been meaning to get stretching more often since my posture is less than stellar but since I often have abdominal discomfort I haven't yet gotten around to it. I don't ever work out so I think my muscles may just be very sensitive.

sounds like muscle spasm but if you have abdominal discomfort it could be colon spasms buy some buscopan and take a couple next time it happens, if the spasm goes that might be the causeĀ
