Thrombocytopenia, no change in platelet count

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hello,

I've had fairly constant platelet count (60k) for about two years. Doctor is unsure if it is displasia (inconclusive bone marrow tests), all other parameters are good, except a bit low neutrhophils (1.5) and high monocytes (approx 1). Kidneys, liver etc all good. No chronic disease. Healthy lifestyle, early 50s male.

Should I request another bone marrow biopsy, or what else?

thanks

It's great that the test wasn't positive. It seems you have a lot of positives going for you. You might want to get a second opinion. Keep up the healthy lifestyle.

Thank you for encouraging words. I am leaning towards the second test smile
