Thyroid Issue

i never thought id be back on this board so soon having been on here a few months back whilst having my gallbladder out.

so quick bio im 44, healthy, non smoker, active and apart from the GB Op i had in January im healthy.

2 weeks ago i started to get a tightening sensation in my throat. At first i thought it was a reaction ie caffeine, spicy food etc. Only 2 weeks later its still there constantly and at times can get quite worse. Anyway ive been speaking with my doc online and since i have no other symptoms they reffered me to a ENT specialist.

This evening it got quite worse and i called 111. They asked i visit A&E which i did. The doctor had a feel around and couldnt find anything unusual but decided to take some blood tests. An hour passed and he called me in to say blood tests had shown an issue with Thyroid and they would need to send off a second test for analysis. Again i waited a few hours until the second test came back.

He told me the second test showed tht my thyroid was working as normal but the first test indicated an issue. He told me not to worry and that hes referring me to a specialist. Obviously im freaking out, Like imagining the worst and panicking.

I dont know much about the Thyroid and unsure what experiences youve all had but would appreciate your thoughts, advice etc
