Thyroid Nodule Grade U5

Hi
I had an MRI scan around 4 months ago now and they found a thyroid nodule that I have had scanned and graded at a U5. I have now had 2 sets of FNA'S which was horrible.
Has anyone else had a U5 grade? I've looked it up and its graded melignant. Is this saying I have cancer but not sure what stage yet?
Thanks Becky x

A small but significant proportion (11%) of patients with U2 may still have malignancy and hence clinical correlation is required, ii) 42% of patients with U3–U5 could actually have a benign nodule, iii) inter-rater variability could be high among US reports and adequate expertise should be mandatory, and iv) concurrent use of FNA and US could improve sensitivity and specificity further. (US=ULTRASOUND & FNA= FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION)

(b) solid, hypo-echoic, lobulated/irregular outline, globularcalcification (? Medullary carcinoma)
(c) intra-nodular vascularity
(d) shape (taller >wide) (AP>TR)(e) characteristic associated lymphadenopathy

I've just recently had an ultrasound to be followed by a FNA in the nearest future. I'm not excited about it but I am looking for answers. I've been dealing with hyperparathyroidism for the last year and after surgery of an adenoma on one of my parathyroid hormones they have determined I have the disease still which could indicate another adenoma. This is how my ultrasound came into play....it wasn't addressed the first time. My primary has referred me to another endocrinologist but while all this is going I'm concerned about the biopsy. Can you offer any preparations for me?
