Hi Joanne    I had the needle aspiration last year....I too was terrified but suprisingly it was  not bad at all....Its fear of the unknown more so....mine did it about 6 times I believe...The last one she apologized and had to do again.  But you will get through it fine.  We have no choice in the matter and when it was done and everything okay I was soooo relieved....In fact now that i developed this i had to go back to her thought maybe she would have to do it again...she didnt she did an ultra sound.  I go for blood work repeat again Aug., cant wait to see what it is and move on..Good Luck and let me know how you make out   Liz

Thank You Yvette   I had the needle biopsy a couple of years ago and it was ok not knowing then that it was hyperparathyroid.  Today i go for blood work and we will go from there.  The ultra sound in June indicated adenoma i did not relate alot of what i feel to this only because i had HH surgery and stomah surgery in March and thought all i felt was due to that.....we shall find out soon and i have to work promptly i just dont feel well and its not me.....thank you for replying i will be in touch when i know more.   x liz
