Thyroiditis-Numbers in range but symptoms are back- Tapazole and Acetyl l Carnitine

Hi everyone, I've been diagnosed with thyroiditis back in February. I started tapazole 12.5 and l-carnitine 1000mg The symptoms were night sweats, palpitations, couldnt sleep. The numbers were:

TSH not detectable, T4 23 (9-19) T3 7.4 (2.6-5.8).

After a month of treatment tapazole 12.5 and 1000mg L- Carnitine:

TSH 0.02, T4 13 (9-19), T3 4(2.6-5.8)

All the symptoms went away. I added 1000mg of acetyl l- carnitine. At this point my Endo said to start reducing the dose. I stayed for a week on 10mg, another week on 7.5mg and then on 5mg when i started having symptoms again. I increased the dose again slowly and at 10mg the symptoms went away again. The new labs showed:

TSH 0.87, T4 11(9-19), T3 4.2(2.6-5.8)

All the numbers are in range but all the symptoms are back and my endo is saying to reduce the dose again because I'll go into hypo. I'm at a loss and not sure what to do. Any and all suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks all.
