You're off food?  Does that mean you are not allowed anything to eat?

It sounds like you are either hypothyroid or starving to death.

In any case, if your doctor isn't helping you, I would try to get a second opinion from another doctor.

I'm allowed to eat anything I like but the nausea is horrendous and having silent reflux is a nightmare leaves me little to eat

Yes I think I need a second opinion it seems my thyroid should have been checked after surgery I'm researching a lot now I wish I had before ignorance is not bliss

      Thank you for your reply

Have you tried various foods to see if there are any that you can tolerate, even in just small amounts?

Also, regarding the thyroid, I know that being hospitalized is not a good time to have tests because they may be inaccurate.

The main thing you need to know is how you can receive adequate nutrition.  What can you do to help the nausea and reflux?

Is it a side effect of the medication?  I am taking medication that can cause nausea, and I have found I need to eat before taking it.

I think that it's a accumulation of things the infection the thrush that comes with antibiotic use

I've introduced some foods it's a balance thing I guess I did some research an surgery can affect the thyroid levels and b12 intake so I'm hoping to introduce more b12 through foods and get the thyroid re tested now that it's been 2 weeks since I have been out of hospital

It sure sounds like a tough thing to deal with, but I suppose you will work through it.  I certainly wish you well.
