Tibia/fibula segmented type :Driving 9weeks after surgery

I injured my tibia and fibula during a frisbee game last April 5, 2017, and had my leg placed with external fixator for 3 months now.. 6 weeks after the surgery, healing was slow, callus was still thin as seen on xray, maybe because of my age. Yet everyone heals at different phase as doc says. But Im glad I can drive after 9 weeks from surgery. Im still limping and I find it hard to walk for about 5-10 minutes to get to my workplace. My leg hurts when I walk longer and my knees also felt so bad but a little glad when I can already balance my weight when I stand without support. It's already 12weeks now and I can see the progress but I cant wait to have this fixator removed and be back to normal again.

Having any injury is a bummer and we all want to get back to normal ASAP.  When I had a broken foot I couldn't drive and it killed me being stuck in the house and having to depend on others.  It sounds like you are doing really well and improving.  You'll make it to your goal but I'd think about something other than frisbee in the future.

Thnks devsmom, Yeah I think Im doing well and improving. In fact, I already back to work now, eventhough it seems difficult to walk around my workplace. Im already excited for my next xray this Saturday. I hope my bones are healing already. I mean it's too long to wait to have this leg healed and this fixator be removed. Surely I wont play frisbee again....huhuhu.. Im an active type. Maybe I have to do zumba at home to avoid accident...
