My 16 years old brother met with accident yesterday so doctor operated his leg and inserted rod inside. Now im worried if he will be able to run/play sports in future or not? He is very sporty kind of boy and physicaly active boy.
could anyone please tell me if the person with rod in leg can run or not ?

Consult your doctor and Take suggestions from Doc..
Absolutely your brother could run even if there is a rod .
But it takes time . His surgery should heal, he has to go through physio,
He should do half weight bearing walk,
then Fulll weihgt bearing walk,- this migt take atleast 3 months to start
Gain strength for six months and walk perfectly on doctors suggestions
within a year he should be fine ..

Definitely! He's young and still growing and will heal very quickly as opposed to someone in their 50s.
He shouldn't feel the rod inside and it shouldn't affect his ability to walk or run. If so, his OS would consider removing rod.
