Tibial plateau fracture

Hi All:

?Has anyone had a tibial plateau fracture after a tkr.  I do have a fracture and have decided to have it heal on its own.  If you have had a tpf, what did you do.  I just don't want to be opened up again.  Thanks.

How does it feel? I will be 9 months post TKR on the 19th of this month and my tibia feels different, like hurting sometime. Still have numbness in that area, like something is not right. I have thought about a fracture but have not been back to see my orthopedic dr. since the initial follow ups.

Hi Connie, I don't blame you for not wanting to be operated on again.  Is that the only choice your surgeon has offered? Well, I'm guessing the surgeon offered that. ...?  I've had over 30 operations so far in  my life - so no- I don't want to be operated on again either!  I just saw my surgeon and I died in theatre 8 weeks ago at the end of my TKR and went to ICU for a few days. He said that I will now always have this risk.   He said that I will always have to have anything done at the hospital where this occurred as they have my full notes and will know how they need to do things. However, should I ever need to have another operation I'll do it.  Please let us know
