Tick on my balls, feeling really anxious

I don't know how long it's been there but I was shearing sheep last Wednesday, after having a bath today, I noticed a tick on my balls.

Since Friday, I been feeling like I've got a cold starting, had sore aches in my back which has calmed down

now... just got a hot eyes mild headache and feel tired all the time, sometimes nauseated,

had these feelings before which I associate with anxiety, but I'm worried it's something else.

To make it worse, I found a tick on my balls to increase my anxiety attack, as i suffer from anxiety..

I pulled it out, I think the head was still on it, there's now a small swelling round the bite area and I placed dettol on it, now it itches and feels sore...

The GP surgery is closed until Tuesday,(bank holiday) is Lyme's disease common here in the UK? Not sure what to do, I've had tick bites before and nothing happened, it just had to be in the most awkward place too followed by these feelings of tiredness and feeling not quite right.

Hi red, as I'm no expert on ticks, I would suggest yoy call 111, at least you will get information from someone supposedly in the know, worst case they will send you to a walk-in centre which is not so bad, I think probably your worrying unescassarily but you have to get it checked so you can stop worrying.

    Has a rash developed?

      Thanks for your advice.

No, there's no rash to be seen around the area, just the skin on the scrotum has gone dark where I placed the dettol.

Got mild rash on my chest and back though, nothing circular and a sunburn which is healing now.

I'll give them a call tomorrow, I'm afraid of wasting their time tho.

It's hard with health anxiety, especially when you feel unwell at the same time...I was paranoid about dengue while on holiday in Philippines, doctor there checked me out, turned out to be just a mild flu.

Hi I work in an MIIU you should be looking for a bulls eye effect brusing around the site the tick entered, how ever you do have some symptoms that could be a little concerning.  I would advise to ring 111 to see an out of hours GP and discuss this with them.
