Tickly itchy chest, no relief from it

hello, for the last few weeks I've had a very strange feeling in my chest, (not anxiety) was prescribed two lots of different antibiotics. felt better within myself and fever gone down. The tickly sensation has never gone, its driving me insane, tried honey and lemon hot water everyday. cough medicine, steam therapy, sucking on lozenges all day an night....still nothing, chest xray come back clear and now waiting on blood results. it feels like I need to cough but can't:( the last few days I've not coped to well with it and been prescribed valium. does anyone have any info on what this could be? loosing the will to live !! not covid related..

    this sounds so similar to me. mine started with a pain in the chest when breathing in initially about 6 weeks ago. i had a covid test which was negative.

    my pulse was high and my oxygen low so my dr sent the the hosp by the time i got there all normal. i had a chest xray an ecg and a d dimmer blood test all normal. now i am so so breathless the only way i can describe it is i constantly have a feeling in my throat like as if iv been doing lots and lots of exercise. im the same it sends me into a massive panic xxx

      sorry to hear you're having a crap time too. my oxygen was also clear and chest was clear. I just constantly feel as though I need to cough to relive that itch but I just can't cough.. been put on a steriod inhaler, dont really think it's helping. I've definitely got anxiety as a result of it that's why I got the valium. I feel as though the drs aren't going to find what's wrong with me and I'm going to have this forever. 😭 xx

      that is exactly exactly what mine feels like i feel as tho its worse when i breath out its really strange. iv also been given an inhaler the blue 1 is that urs?

      i keep worrying that its a clot. antibiotics make me feel really ill and with the chest xray being clear i thnk its probably pointless taking them xxx

      they gave me a pink inhaler, it's meant to be stronger, I feel as though I can breathe fine though. I'm sure its not a clot, do you think yours could be anxiety? I know I've had two lots of different antibiotics, I think theyre going to try me on some more if my blood test comes back clear. I'm going to ask to be referred to see a specialist if carries on. I just can't even function with day to day life. 😒

      i dont know tbh its possible. iv had bouts of anxiety on an off for yrs tho and never experienced this tho.

      mr dr said the next step for me will be a respiratory clinic xxx
