Hi Ses
I did mamage an early night was shattered after Saturday. Went to be at 9.30 and slept until 3. Managed to get off til six then. A lot more achy today in my back and legs etc. I think we are due more rain lol! I do manage to do the cooking at home. Now and again my hands go weak when I lift something but hasn't happened for a while now.
I think I have been feeling lot worse this week as I have just had a period. Hormones have a lot to answer for. I am 52 so hopefully not much longer for me now
When I was ampytripline I was only on the lowest dose of 10mg and managed to wean myself off them but cutting down a little bit each day. So didn't have to many problems that I can remember. We are all different I suppose so what suits one doesn't someone else. I had an epidural with my twins but seemed to be ok with that although painful at the time. My twins weighed 8lb 110z and 7lb 10oz as I went to 39 weeks.
Well hope you get some relief from your pain.
Thinking about you.

Hope your dr appointment goes ok. Try not to worry go in there positive and try and get across what you want doing. I know easier said than done but I find it helps it you write it down. If I don't write it down I forget what I was going to ask about. As long as you keep it brief it should be ok. Does your gp give you time to talk! :?
Mine is good for that he doesn't hurry me along! I feel bad sometimes as I go in with a list. He must think oh no not again lol! The times I have been to see him i have come away more positive. :o
Chat later and see how you got on. Not heard from Di for a while so must be on her cruise don't know when she is due back!
Thinking about you all!

Gp was fine had time to talk and get through my list! I`m like you if I don`t write it down I forget! My anti-depressant has been changed to one which I shouldn`t gain wieght with and I go back in two weeks. It was like a breath of fresh air going in there today so different to when we had the locum. My pain killers could be causing the swelling in my hands and feet so I`m not taking that any more. GP even made time to talk about the family and see what stress I was under from that, So all in all positive. I feel better just knowing I have the support there again. I also feel better knowing I can get on here and have a rant if I need one. thanks everyone. I just hope Ses is doing as well at her appeal.

So pleased you had a positive appointment with seeing your doctor. :o Makes you feel so much better when the support is there. Most of time it is more important to have the support than to be sent away with a different tablet to try! What antidepressents are you taking. I take one 10mg Amprirtripline. I have only just gone back on them as had them before for depression but not for sorting sleep out. Only been on for four days at mo so see what happens.
Yes hope Ses is getting on ok.
Speak later

I take 25mg Amitriptyline for the Fibro, and have been on Mirtazapine for depression. I know the Amitriptyline is for depression as well, and I already have started a list for next time, and intend to ask why I need two. I gained over a stone on the Mirtazapine (in less than 3 months) and am now changing to Venlafaxine. Its quite a new one I think and is supposed to have a lot less side effects. We shall see!! I just feel so down all the time and exhausted, I spend half my time crying. I think I would cope with the pain and stiffness of Fibro better if I wasn`t so down and tired but never seem to get that far to find out. How are you today your little grand daughter must make things seem worth while? I don`t think my daughter will have children she`s too afraid they will inherit her diabetes and all the baggage that goes with that. Anyway that`s another story!

I wonder why you are on two antidepressants. Although some are used for other things as well. I know that amplitripline is also can help with irritable bowel. I have that with the fibro so hopefully tablets will help get my sleep pattern back and help irritable bowel too. The doctor said they would help regulate sleep. I take it at night and they do make me really sleepy before bedtime. I did wake up a few times overnight but was totally on my own last night as husband was on nights.
My granddaughter does help make me feel better. We have another granddaughter coming in September Mollys little sister. They are going to call her Sophie.
Take care

After all that I sat there in front of three people that didnt know anything about the pain I am in day in and day out and the problems I have just going to the loo...... absolutely humiliating......... They told me I had to remember when I first applied...... can't remember what happened yesterday let alone what happened 6 months ago and the doctor I do not see they seemed to go by his submission not the the recent one that my doctor had submitted, my benefits adviser believes I am entitled to full and could not understand why they kept it at the original application....... I think Fibromyalgia again is not recognized as a disabling condition and these so called professionals do not understand the severity of this disabling condition day in and day out...... I am however not taking there decision lightly as I am not a scrounger and I believe that I am entitled to this benefit...... it makes me sick that a women twice my age on high disability (as she has the car to state this) there digging the garden which I would so love to be able to do but unfortunately I have not this option due to the pain in my hip etc and people like her take the p*** out of the system and so those that are genuine get penalized!!!!!!!!
Anyway that is my moan for the day but I will fight folks as we all deserve the right to be acknowledged, that this condition has no cure and we have it for the rest of our lives and to this we are not going to get better and in that matter we should not have to fight for something that is rightfully ours!!!!!!!
I do thank you all for your kind words xxxxxx and I hope you are having a better less painful day than me xxxxxxx gentle hugs xxxxx

So sorry things didn't go better for you! You are good to keep going at it.
You do deserve to get it. It makes you angry when people do get the help and money when they can actually get around.
Bet you are shattered now and need a good rest after the day you must have had.
Take it easy now and try and chill
Speak again soon

How are you feeling today. I feel more achy all over today think the change in weather temperature is making it worse. How long do you have to wait for your next appeal! It seems like a minefield trying to get some disibility allowance and being listened to. How do all those others who don't need it get away with it
You are so good to keep going :o I took a complaint against a doctor to the Ombudsman and lost and that was stressful enough. I lost do to some questions that the Healthcare Commission didnt ask and therefore Ombudsman couldn't ask them again. So therefore case was lost.
I didn't have to go and see Ombudsman as it didn't go any further so it was all done in letters through the post. That was very stressful as went on for nearly a year. Couldn't go any further as the Ombudsman is the last place to go. Although I didn't get anywhere with complaint I was still pleased I had gone ahead with it.
Well take care

so sorry your appeal didn`t go better, Ses, you are right we do deserve better, so good luck for the next round. All the stress isn`t good for the pain etc., it just makes everything worse.
How are you today Tess?
I`ve just surfaced after taking the first of my new anti depressent last night at 6pm!!! I`ve never felt so ill in ages. I felt sick, dizzy and the strangest feeling as if I was on the outside looking at everything going on around me. I should have taken another at 6 am but needless to say that didn`t happen. Just feel weak now as if I`m getting over the flu. Will try again tonight and see what happens, but if no improvement I think I`ll be bothering the poor GP again. I think, like you, he must say Oh no not her again!
take care all and try to keep positive

Sorry to hear about your horrible side effect with your new tablets.
That is really worrying and not very nice at all
Have you been on the medicine chat line where you can talk about different tablets. Its on this site but you go to medicines and then click on the letter of the name of your tablets and get comments from other people on taking the same.
I had a quick look and there was someone on there who seemed to have similar experience as you and also terrifying nightmares as well.
If I was you I would take a look and judge for yourself what comments have been written about this drug. Then you decide if you want to carry on taking it or not! The trouble is with this type of medication is once you start taking a lot of them is is hard to stop. You have to do it really slow with help from your doctor or the side effects are not very nice.
When I came off ampytripline before I was on the same amount 10mg a day as I am taking now. I took one then miss a day for the first week. Then took one every two days until finally I got off them. Your doctor will be able to tell you what to do. As you have only taken one you should be ok especially already missing your second dose.
Its so scary taking new tablets thats why I decided to carry on with Ampytriline instead of the new one he gave me called fuloxetine. Haven't told him yet but he did give me a choice with one or the other. At the time thought I would try the new one and thought about it and couldn't be doing with side effects from new tablets on top of everything else.
Let me know how you get on but the medicine site is worth a look at. Some people will say they get on well with them and others won't. We are all different so you will have to do whats right for you.
Take care

I have been on amitryptiline but they effected my breathing due to my asthma I think??? or thyroid???? anyway when I came off them it was a nightmare as I felt like I was going cold turkey or something that is how I can imagine it would be anyway as I was feeling sick the stomach cramps were awful and I felt I was aching all over like I had the flu........ then the fibro pain increased too. I am with the pain specialist next week so I am hoping he can help me????
My arms most of the time goes to sleep when I am lying down but now my left arm has gone kind of numb???? and when I sit down my left leg is numb too noticeable when I get up, I think it is problems with my neck??? so I am off to see the doc next week and see if I can get an x-ray as it is quite scary!!!!
Anyway Probably just goes with this disabiling condition but I think I am best to get it checked??
Take care everyone xx Gentle hugs xxxxxx

Probably is a good idea to get it check out. It is difficult because any ache or pain I get now I just think oh its the horrid fibro thingy. :o
I have taken ampytripline before and when I came off it I did come off really slow over a few months than too quickly. I was lucky didn't have too many side effects when taking them. Only been on for four days and going to see doctor friday to let him know. He gave me some different ones called fluoxine. Think thats what they were called. Didn't want to try anything different with more side effects.
Well hope you get more sleep tonight
