Time for today's exercises - aarrggghhh

I always need encouragement to do my exercises.

I feel wretched before doing them, and more so when I'm done.

Pill popping time, then off I go.

Do any of you have anything special you do to keep you on track and doing your therapy?

Hi Lindyblue, I'm 5wks post TKR and also dread doing the exercises but know I must. The bit that keeps me going is knowing that I can rest and ice afterwards with a nice cup of tea that my husband makes for me☕️😀. Sometimes I even get a biscuit! lol

    Hi

I have found that I do better starting with my first morning excercises in bed. I have breakfast in bed medicate and get my pal Bruce the football which if I wake in the night I do some more, the football for under knee half leg raisers.

After all excercises, heel slides , full leg lift, half leg with football, leg at side of bed lift up and lower etc. many more , bottom squeeze. Lol

Now I take my time washing and dressing and feel a good start to the day!

After lunch if tired so the same on the bed then ice and sleep and same again eay to bed. And if like me in the middle of the night together with reading the posts on this forum.

Well it's 9 am here. Just finished and have now incorporated static bike for mid morning.

    Good luck.

      Thanks Sue,

Sounds like I might need to get myself a 'Bruce' pal!

Maybe with Bruce at my side, I might manage to endure the torture!

I have a reminder on my phone to tell me it is time for torture, sometimes I feel like throwing it in the brink when it goes off.

The best way I have found of getting through the excercises is by watching endless hours of rubbish tv, so many channels and so much rubbish,my moaning about daytime tv seems to focus my mind on something other than pain, whatever gets you through I guess !
