Tingling

So for over a year now, I've had this on and off tingling feeling. It happens mostly in my lower lip but also happens in my scalp, on my face, and other random spots on my body. I am so worried after researching it that I can't let the idea of numb chin syndrome go. I'm terrified. I do have rheumatoid arthritis which I was just diagnosed with this week, low vitamin D that I'm being treated for by taking 50,000 IU's weekly, and low iron. I was also diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease due to a high ANA buy not many of my other labs were abnormal. That scares me too bc a high ANA I've read can mean malignancy too. If I didn't have the tingling in my lower lip I don't think I would worry as much but after reading about numb chin syndrome I'm scared out of my mind and have been for over a year now. I've been told it's anxiety but I don't believe it. Why would it happen in the one spot I'm so worried about?! I'm on wellbutrin 200mg and still can't shake this fear. Someone please help ease my mind. Could this be anxiety or am I right to be worried?

Yes, you can stop worrying I have the same thing and I was lucky enough to have a co-worker that experienced a similar situation as well. She would get tingling in her face that ran all the way down her arm. So when I start experiencing tingling in my left cheek sometimes in my eyelid I was able to confide in her.

Nonetheless it made frantic. I went to the doctor I googled it I did everything you did. The doctor assured me I wasn't having a stroke but they did scheduled me for a MRI. Although I didn't get the mri done yet I listened to my co-worker and realize that the symptoms were non-existent if I was distracted. It started a little over a year ago for me but now if it comes on I will get up and do something and it'll go away.

I would definitely recommend you follow up with the doctor just to ease your mind and make sure there is no health issue but I am almost 100% sure that it's just anxiety for you as well. A good way to tell is distract yourself by doing something and see if your symptoms go away.

Also it's the evilness of anxiety once you figure out what it is it kind of goes away and then anxiety manifest its way in a different form of torture.

    I hope this helps you.

Thank you all! I've not had too much of the tingling today and I think you all are right because I've been busy. It has happened the last hour though because I've been sitting here trying to relax. I think the fact that it happens in my lower lip the most is what scares me so much. I've read that it's something that is found to be from metastatic cancer and now I can't stop worrying that I have cancer that is not going to be found until it's too late. You know how anxiety works.

Yes, Vicky! I'm so glad that my doctor checked it and put me on the right dose. She put me on 50,000 IU's once a week for 12 weeks and then is going to check it again.
