Tingling and Pressure in Chest

Hello! I need opinions desperately.
First off this post is not meant for me, but for my father. He's known for being depressive and anxious, but he's the type that doesn't admit it. (he's 55 years old, and also has hypothyroidism, worth mentioning)
Since weeks ago he says he's felt:
- Tingling on the face and sometimes body.
- Hot flashes (kinda?) that rise up to his face
- Overall just, blegh feeling, no motivation for anything, weak, "sick" feeling.
- Pressure on chest.
- Tingling on left side of his chest
- Cough (he says the tingling makes him cough?)
- Nausea
These are all the symptoms i can remember. He also spends all his day on the couch watching TV really without moving a lot.
I personally am an autistic 25 year old who suffers from Bad general anxiety disorder and depression, and this to me sounds like he's constantly at the border of a panic attack, but i am not too sure so that's why i need outsiders opinions. It's driving me and my mother crazy, but we try to be patient with him. I'd really appreciate the help.
Thank you!
NOTE: he had blood work done like 3 weeks ago due to his thyroid acting up, and everything was fine. The only problem he had was high triglycerides but he's had that problem since forever, and he takes medication for it.

My first guess is withdrawals from some medication. It fits and all the symptoms agree. Has he gone off or switched any medication? It could be from his thyroid too. Anti- anxiety meds can cause these symptoms too, but i need more info.

the only meds he is on is his thyroid meds and trygliceryds. He recently got increased dosage for his thyroid but that was weeks ago.

I would question the increased dose for his thyroid. If thats all thats changed. Research the medicine and look at the side effects, sometimes you get lucky and the side effects match the symptoms he is exhibiting. Just look up the meds he is on and the side effects should be listed. Do that and go from there. Have you contacted his doctor to tell them whats going on? If you havent, i would do that soon. Is he a coffee drinker ? You may want to cut out the caffeine as its bad for anxiety and may amplify any symptoms his meds are giving him. I wish i could be of more help, but you have to use common sense and work backwards from the time he started experiencing these symptoms, ask your self what changed in his habits, diet, and meds. I hope he feels better and i hope you get to the bottom of it. But i would advise his doctor sooner than later.

Hi S, It can be really difficult to be a caregiver, I hope you take time for yourself and are getting support from your DR, Mom, friends or even from here...YOU are important too & both anxiety & depression can take a toll on your basic functioning, be sure to be kind to yourself....
Anytime someone is over 50, has high triglycerides to the point of medication with little physical activity and has chest pressure/pain, tingling, nausea, sweating, hot flashes, cough...they should have their heart checked, if he was my Dad, I would ask for a chest xray, ECG & blood pressure...these symptoms can be from anxiety, depression & low energy, tingly from his thyroid but, you don't want to misdiagnose a cardiac issue by assuming its something else...then if all the heart tests are negative, he can get help for anxiety & depression and you don't have to worry it may be something more serious, you can ask his DR if there could be an underlying cardiac issue and go from there...just a suggestion but, that's what I would do..Good Luck, I hope your Dad feels better & BEST WISHES TO YOU BOTH💒🎶♾🍀☮🌈🐾
