tingling in body.

Okay so I'm not really sure when it started. But Sunday I left for a business trip with my work. Which meant leaving my comfortzone and going out of state. Sunday when I reached the airport I downed two beers to ease my anxiety. I hardly ate anything, but I need something to calm me. While being away I had fears of my boyfriend doing something wrong. All day even after arriving in Florida I drank until the time i went to sleep. Around 5:30 AM I woke up to my body having burning sensations in my head and all over. I had to take a half of xanax to ease me and let me continue sleeping. The rest of the time there I just felt as if my body was tingling. very mildly. But I feel it. Now that I am home, I still feel it. I've been fighting on and off with my boyfriend and I think the re adjusting has just gotten to me. I just want to know if anyone else experiences this and if they could possible help me out.

Thank you!!!!

    Hey chick,

I sometimes get a tingle dowN my left arm sometimes when feeling stressed I think. Doesn't last long it's a weird sensation though I wouldn't say tingling it's like someone's touching you but there's no one touching you. It's hard to explain lol

Have you been to the doctor and told them about it? Anxiety can do alot of things to the mind and body which I never knew until I suffered from it.

Are you taking any medication for your anxiety?

      Hi,

Can you describe the sensation you get down your arm. I think I have been getting the same thing not really a tingle but like a wave of a chill or tickle kind of. It is hard to explain. But it has been really scaring me and stressing me out inhave severe health anxiety.

Yes more like a chill! You know when you get goosebumps and your skin feels cold and tingly/prickly it's like that but without the goosebumps. Mine comes and goes I can go a few days without it or have it a few times in one day. I don't worry about it now as its happened a few times and it's not painful just annoying as hell! It doesn't lasts long when I go have it I'm mostly at work a d it's generally when we're busy and I've got a million things to do (I work in a deli so I cook, serve, stack shelves all that stuff).

If it's really concerning you though I would go to your gp better to put your mind at ease.

I have been to the dr and they say its just anxiety. But I have been really bad lately so every sensation is Intensfied and I focus on it daily almost waiting for it to come and it does. I'm absolutely fixated on itsad does yours go into your hand? Mine goes down my arm and into my hand and it is so annoyING! !!

Oh ok. I used to be like that to about 9 months ago until I started on cit which saved me really. Every ache or pain I would have a massive anxiety/panic attack. I suffered for over a year back and forth before they diagnosed anxiety. Even though I'm alot calmer now days I do still have the tingly/chill in me arm. It used to be in my Forman and sometimes my fingers but that stopped ages ago thankfully.

I hope yours eases soon. I know how hard it is to get your mind off of it.

I have been really bad for the last 7 weekssad I google symtpoms and it it sends me into a panic thinking I have sone terrible disease. I have tried 3 antidepressants and they made me so sick intensified my anxiety snd symptoms which I know they do at first but I couldn't handle it so I stopped them. I went to the hospital he other night bc I was beside myself and couldn't handle it. They told me I had to stick wih an antidepressant suffer through the side effects and they would go away in a week or 2. So yesterday I started back on zoloft. I feel so nauseated and vomit every morning. I feel so weak but I'm trying to stick it out bc I can't go on like this any longer. It's debilitating. If it wasn't for these weird sensations I wouldn't be so bad but every time I get it I panic. I can't get it out of my head or stop focusing on it. Mine goes down my arm and into my palm. It is just so annoying I can't even describe it. It feels like my hand and arm always needs to be massaged or something

Yes in used to Google aswell. I'm so sorry that you have had a hard time with a few ssri's. They suck though because it gets worse before it gets better but just hang in there you might feel like crap for the next few weeks but then it will start to kick in and you will be so glad you stuck with it! I promise I was in your shoes just a few months ago. Mine took about 3 to 4 months to properly settle me down but that was because the doctor had me up my dose every week when I started aND I had a hiccup in between so I went down 10mg then have to go up. I'm currently at 40mg which is the highest does for cit but I can say that I'm glad I started taking them. Before I started on them I wanted to do it myself and didn't want to go on them but I needed to I couldn't cope by myself and I'm glad I took the leap because I e helped myself and my family.

I know it is so hard and that's how I am right now, I feel like I can't cope at all. I tried citalopram too and that one made me really sick and I found it made me angry. But I did only take it for 5 days bc I couldn't handle it. It's already been 2 months of this and I dont see an end to itsad I have just been existing, can't work like this or do anything. I just cry everyday. It's terriblesad

I'm sorry that you have to go through this and have been feeling like that for a while. How long have you been on the zoloft? If you've been on it for the 2 months and you haven't improved you might need to change or up your dose. If you don't mind me asking what dose are you on?

Dont worry chick you will get there! Unfortunately it's gonna take a while but trust me once you get there it will be worth it.

I have only been on it for 2 days and it's 25 mg. Over the last 2 months I tried 3 different medications including zoloft citalopram and prozac. I would only take them for a few days bc I felt so terrible so I would stop them. I started to think there were none that would agree with me and I was going to have to try to do it without meds. I continued to feel worse everyday and couldn't cope at all. I felt helpless and hopeless like his was how I was going to be forever and it was never going to end. I went to the hospital the other night and the dr told me I HAD to stick with it for atleast 2 weeks so for me to either take the zoloft or prozac and give it a fair try. I read about zoloft and prozac and from reviews decided hat in would try to suffer through zoloft so I started it again yesterday. They all make me so nauseous and the were all making my arms and legs have a burning feeling. It scared me more so I would stop them. I have no appetite and have lost close to 15 lbs. I feel like I'm dying

Yeah its not nice. I see your point in stopping though the fort time I tried cit was for 2 days and it just heightened my anxiety and made me feel funny so I stopped but this time around I've stuck with it and it's been good. It's not going to be easy but you have to try and jot let the anxiety control you once you've been on the medication for a while it should kick in and even though you have some symptoms you won't worry as much and they will fade away. I used to have chest pain, numb face tingly feet, dizziness all day everyday plus the health anxiety I suffered from it.

You can do this it's going to be rough but you will get through this. Just take one day at a time have you tried listening to music, using the adult colouring in books, even just watching TV or having a chat to someone can take your mind off things for a bit.

I have tried watching tv but with my anxiety so bad it's hard to focus and concentrate on things. I dont have the attention span. I have always had anxiety for years bt never panic attacks. I just started having hose in the past 7 weeks and I thought I was dying. I didn't know what was wrong with me. I started to get lightheaded clammy has feeling weak like inwas going to faint numb face feeling like I had to keep taking deep breaths and one time I even felt like I couldn't swallow. It was do scary and I think that really set of my health anxiety and all the physical symptoms along with googlingsad All of the medications have heightened my anxiety and it's already so bad I feel horrible. I'm hoping zoloft is the right choice bc I don't want to suffer through the side effects and feel so bad and then it not work and have to switch and go through it again. It's already been almost 2 months everyday and I have nothing left in me sad

Yeah anxiety and panic attacks are the worst. I'm sorry that you have to go through this though but always know there is someone on here to talk to and help you through it this site helped me alot when I thought I was the only one and couldn't cope.

I hope that the zoloft helps you aND that it doesn't take long so you don't have to suffer anymore. You will get there though chick I know it might not feel like it now but you will get there. Always here for a chat if you need.

Yes I am on medications. I started Citalopram in July. I started with 10, now i am on 20mg. The feeling I am feeling actually started back when I had a really bad anxiety attack and then actually ended up in the hosptial (Psyc-ward) because I needed help. While in there and prior to that I had these feelings. With the viberating in my body.

Like i stated in my message before, I just went on a trip out of of my comfort zone as well am fighting here and there with my significant other at the moment. so it doesn't help.

But i only really feel the viberating when I am relaxed or am waking up in the morning....

yes i've told the doctors about it . as well as the hospital where they kind of just looked at me like i was crazy.... haha

OK oh well congrats on getting out of your comfort zone sometimes it's hard to do that but now you have done it, it should get easier. I hope things settle down with your partner so your less stressed chick!

It could be happening when your relaxed or just waking up to try and trigger your anxiety? I found that I had constant dizziness and numbness in my face and neck for ages actually thinking now when I just got up or if I was lying down to try and relax. I think even though we're on cit our bodies have to have time to catch up. Mine took a few months for all my physical symptoms to stop I only get the tingling in my arm and sometimes my thigh but I just let it pass (if I wasn't in cit I would have gone into a panic attack).

Yes I know that look all to well I've changed doctors now so I feel so much better aswell I used to have an anxiety attack when I had to go and see him bur thankfully he's leaving so I've just gone with a new doctor who is lovely and she explains things alot better.

I hope everything looks up for you soon chick always here if you need a chat
