Tingling/numb feet!

I've touched on this before, but it seems to be becoming worse. Over the past few weeks (and the last several days in particular), I've been having alot of numbness and tingling starting in my calves and going down into my feet. It makes me want to move my feet constantly (although, it's different from "restless legs", which I've also had), it's driving me Crazy and Very uncomfortable!
Has anyone else experienced this as a result of pmr/prednisone??
if so, how have you dealt with it?
btw....it started happening at night but now seems to be an all day event!

I had these problems before. i went to a vascular expert. He said I had calf muscle pump dysfunction. I googled it . . and very simple calf muscle exercises were recommended. I did them faithfully and frequently. I'm 80% improved! YAY!
After intense sports I still get these symptoms but nothing like before!
worth a try!

let me know if it helps. Since predisine can bring on DIABETES 2 , I was worried that could be part of the problem, or a neuropathy in the feet. . But the calf involvement bothered me a lot, so thats what I tried first.

It may be a side effect of pred - but it can also be an autoimmune problem because the immune system is attacking the nerves and can eventually lead to a neuropathy of some sort. It really is something to discuss with your doctor.

I've been living with the tingling/numbness but your description is markedly different than mine. All my toes are affected plus another 1-2 inches behind them. I have the same issue with my hands from the middle of the palm of the hand, out to the end of each finger.
The problem showed up about 6 months after I started on Pred, following a nasty flare. My rheumy (Rheumy #1 of 3) kicked my dose all the way up to 30 mg. About that time the tingling/numbness issues started. My assumption all along is that it's prednisone related and I've never bothered (or remembered!) to mention it to my doctor or rheumy.
For me it's gotten gradually better, especially since the prednisone dose got below 10 mg (currently at 8.5 mg). However, as I said, your description sounds quite different from mine.

hi raven....so weird I just received your reply. my feet are Sooo tingly right now....I've got this need to keep putting them flat on the floor in order to lessen the feeling!
I sure hope as I begin to taper, I'll start feeling some relief from this as I too feel it's being prednisone driven! unfortunately, I'm kinda stuck right now at 15mg😖
