Tingly buzzing feeling over body

Hi ladies
I think this is my 3rd post today.
I've had this feeling for a long time. The way I can describe it is a tingling buzzing sensation all over my body when I'm still. Also with it I have a feeling of a pulse all over my body especially my legs. It's weird. I just put up with it.

I do remember this feeling. Strange isn't it? My description was that it was definately "chemical".
Now I don't know if this holds any water, so please keep this in mind, but I did read or hear one time, that a physician said that sensation in the estrogen leaving the body. Again, not sure there is any validity to that statement. But it gave me something to grab onto, as this sensation always felt "chemical" to me.

Thankyou for your reply. I would love it to be near the end. The buzzing and tingling is in my face and jaw too. I do have burning mouth syndrome but I did read somewhere that this can be related to nearer the end of peri. Did you have all the burning and tingling? The tingling and burning in the mouth is the worst. Are you nearer the end of peri? I'm sorry for all the questions,my doctor is useless x

Michelle, I went into menopause in 2004. I am past peri. I got that sensation about 3 years ago. I have tired to use hormone replacement, but the estrogen patch made all this much worse. My body buzzed and tingled all the time. The left side of the roof of my mouth is constantly sore and tingling. I dumped the patch, as these side effects weren't worth it. Oddly the only thing that calmed things down was progesterone.
So here is at least an idea. You are in perimenopause, and often women are not ovulating consistantly in peri. You still have the estrogen, but not the right amount of progesterone to balance it. So in the second half of your cycle you could look for signs of ovuation (stringy, stretchy mucus) or have your hormone levels checked. Possibly a course of progesterone might help calm these sensations. Just a thought.

When I have this it is constant, but then will subside and go away for a little while, but always comes back. I pray for the day it doesn't return!

Hi Michelle and everyone that's buzzing. Pretty sure it's viral, in other words different viruses affecting your nervous and immune system. Look up Dr Tent and his videos on You tube in the US. They are VERY interesting! You can treat yourself with the supplements and diet he suggests. Also it would be a good idea to do a whole body detox, starting with the bowel.
