Tingly foot and catastrophizing -- how do you deal?

Posted , 5 users are following.

This morning I woke up with a numb tingly foot. It improved a bit after I got moving but I'd never experienced that before and of course my immediate reaction was to do a suppressed sort of catastrophizing. You know that's the worst time to check with dr. Google, but...

So now I'm going about with this vague tingling/pins and needles there and trying not to focus on it etc. I went for a run and that seemed to just add achiness to it. Have any of you ever dealt with any of this? How do you deal with it? So tired and sad to be like this : (

Yep! My feet tingle, pins and needles, extremely hot or ice cold, most days it feels like they're being squeezed along with the other stuff. I've seen other women with the same thing on here. I'm very limited on what I can try bc of heart issues so I just deal with it and use a foot soak with Epsom salt.. helps a bit. Hopefully someone can chime in with more help than I did lol. Just know you're not alone!

Thank you so much. You did help -- it helps to know one isn't alone! Do you deal with anxiety in general?

I've been dealing with a panic and anxiety disorder since I was a teenager.. meno has only made it worse. My meds used to work pretty good but not so much any more. I'm just taking all these symptoms day by day and try not to think of what horrible disease it could be since that's where my brain always goes..

I have been dealing with this on and off for the past couple of years. I get tingling and pins and needles in my face, my arms, and my legs. Sometimes, I get the sensation of cold water running through my legs. I also get zapping throughout my body. The nerves get affected by changing levels of hormones. This is, actually, quite a common peri symptom.

Thank you so much. I almost think the anxiety these things trigger is more frustrating than the thing itself. The fact is one* can't* keep running off to get every symptom checked out -- it's not very affordable or practical! Looks like it's time to breathe.....
