Tingly Sensation

Ok so I've made a post before and now I have a new problem ugh
I think it's in relation to my older poster? I'm not sure you can read it here -> https://patient.info/forums/discuss/health-anxiety-panic-attacks--592994
Anyways last night I had brain zaps for the first time, I would lay down and try to go to sleep (mind you I was very tired) but as I was going to sleep it felt like my body was becoming...OVER relaxed ? If that makes sense. Like that feeling when you're on xanax or a muscle relaxer? You feel that calm sensation. Then my legs would tingle as if I had restless leg syndrome (I've had it before) then all of a sudden I would jolt awake because the feeling would get overwhelming.
(I have not went off any meds before this. I was taking clindamycin and went cold turkey but it was only two days I've took the pills)
That was last night when I finally went to bed with no problem...I woke up a few others later restless, when I got up I felt sick, dizzy, my legs felt like jello.
then throughout the day I began to feel REALLY tired again. So I tried going to sleep...and now I can't because of the same reason. I would close my eyes and my heart would begin to beat really fast and that feeling would come back. Not in my legs this time, but in the back of my neck, upper back and chest area
My head feels funny too like it has that tingly sensation in it.
Is this anxiety? I haven't taken anything I'm allergic too. Could it be the new anti biotics I'm taking for Cellulitis (SMZ/TMP)? I only started yesterday.
Idk what's going on.
i appreciate the answers

Can someone explain brain zaps, because I have been woken up and it feels like an electricity bolt just went through my brain. If that is what you are calling brain zaps, I tried explaining to to my doctor once and she just looked at me funny and says I don't know what that is.

You know what Brandi77, I am also on SMZ/TMP right now and I just finished a course of it a week ago. My doctor said you need two courses for a UTI as bad as the one I had, so within this last week, I have felt more anxious than usual. I made up my mind last night that if I still feel anxious today, I'm going to stop taking them for a couple of days. I know that will break the protocal, but just wanting to expirement to see if that's not what is causing my increased anxiety this week. I generally tolerate SMZ/TMP quite well, but this was a double dose back to back.

For your brain zaps, that's basically what it is! When I lay down to go to sleep I get this weird feeling over me then all of a sudden I'm jolted awake. Like I was shocked awake. It's an intense feeling as if you're able to fall off a cliff or something. Sd your doctor doesn't know about them
Thats why I'm afraid to talk to my doctor about this situation. They'll probably just look at me weird.
Oh wow! Please let me know if this is the cause for being anxious. I had anxiety attacks before, but nothing ever this severe.

Well, I've seen comments from a lot of people on forums talking about brain zaps and yes, it appears most likely related to anxiety. I can't say for sure that is a common diagnosis because I've never seen it listed on any of the "symptom" lists from like WebMD or others, but it appears to be very common among the people that post on the generalized anxiety forums. I'm in the USA. I don't how I ended up on a UK forum, but I like it!
