Go look on Tinnitustalk .there the best site I've found for the best info ,there's 3 Drs on this site ,who suffer from this condition,they all go into tinnitus in depth .
Go look at the threads put up ,glad I did ,this site is another ,it gives you support,and tips .Its a truly miseable condition .Go take a look. .

My brother who suffered tinnitus as the result of industrial conditions was fitted with a pair of "training hearing aaids" what ever they are and they seemed to work.
Anyway my NHS hearing aids help a great deal with tinnitus but only when I wear them. It may be worth while looking into this but only go with the NHS for a hearing test and assessment, have a word with your GP. Private firms make their money by selling so 10 to 1 you'll end up with them whether they help or not.
