tinnitus

One week ago I suffered a cold and hence I am hearing  a heart pulse rate sound in right ear.initially a normal fluid came out 3 or 4 times a day,and last  two days a fluid with blood is coming out(it may be with the injury caused by the use of buds)what is happening and which specialist whom I have to approach?

    Hi Sameer.  You should see an ENT (ear/nose/throat) doctor as soon as you can....particularly because of the bleeding. if ENT is not readily available then see your regular doctor or go to an emergency room. Hearing your pulse within the tinnitus is called pulsatile tinnitus and is not necessarily dangerous.  It can be caused by excess fluid in middle/inner ear, inflammation in the ear, a blood flow imbalance in veins around your ear, or even a neurological issue (rare). And at least for now stop using the buds if you haven't already.  Let us know how you are doing after seeing the ENT.  Good luck!

    Hi, you should never poke anything in your ear, I think there's a saying "don't poke anything in ear thinner than your elbow", Ear Nose and Throat specialist.
