Tinnitus, Ear pain, Blurred vision

Posted , 2 users are following.

I've had tinnitus for almost 4 weeks now accompanied by ear pain that comes and goes however in the last week Ive also had a bit of dizziness and a bit of blurred vision.

Been checked by a few doctors ( not specialists) and they can't explain it .

So I wondered if anyone in the forum has experienced tinnitus along with intermittent ear pain, dizziness, and blurry vision on and off?

It's quite scary I'm finding.

    Hi

I had a similar experience. Dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus and I would suddenly lose my hearing in my right ear which would come back shortly. I was also experiencing numbness in my right side. My ent thought it might be meniere's but he excluded it because I had no permanent hearing loss.

Also menieres couldn't explain all of the symptoms.

I went to a neurologist and he said it's probably vasospasm /vasoconstriction caused by stress. Maybe you can consult with a neurologist.

My symptoms went away as soon as my stress went away. I also started taking magnesium supplements which help the arteries and blood vessels to relax. I still have slight tinnitus which is tolerable but the rest of the the symptoms are gone

Hi Vicky, Oh yes I thought about it perhaps being Meniere's.

What stresses me the most is the fact that@ I have ear pain as well as the tinnitus and I have eye pain as well as the blurred vision. Did you have the pain as well?

Before Covid 19 my doctor had planned to refer me to an ENT and then perhaps a neurologist also.

Were the magnesium supplements over the counter?

In any case I will try consulting with a neurologist and inquiring about the supplements.

I have had this for over a month now and just wishing it would all disappear.

Thankyou for your response. It has given me some hope 😊

      Hi Carol,

It must be tough for you to have to wait so long for an appointment with an ENT.We're all going through tough times with COVID...

I didn't have any ear pain or pain in the eyes. Maybe what you have is something as simple as sinusitis and it goes away with antibiotics.

You can take magnesium from any store that sells food supplements, without a prescription.

I hope you get this resolved soon!keep strong!

Dr. doesn't know for sure if it's sinusitis but did prescribe an antibiotic of which I'm done the 10 day course and no relief.

Hopefully I will get to see an ENT somehow.

      Thanks again Vicky!!

      Hi Carol,

Are you feeling any better? Did you get to see a specialist?

I hope all is well with you!

      Hi Vicky,

      Thanks so much for asking.

No I haven't been able to see a specialist yet. Due to Covid I guess I shall have to wait until they're seeing patients in person.

I'm not having the tinnitus as frequently as I was however ..and the eye pain has subsided quite a bit also.

My family doctor is still going to refer me when the time comes (if that ever happens that isπŸ™„).

I hope you're doing well amidst this horrible pandemic.
