Tinnitus for a 15 year old

Recently I hav been hearing a quiet high-pitched noise in my right ear, this came as a suprise, because I dont listen to loud music, its actually pretty quiet compare to most people (not very loud at all). Is it temporary, is there anything I can do?

    Hello James

In some cases tinnitus can be permanent but that is usually when there is damage to the ear. As yours is recent and you have not been listening to load music it is likely to be temporary. Have you had an ear infection?  If you have then it could have brought it on and would get better once the infection has cleared.

Make an appointment to see your GP to get a proper diagnosis and any treatment that might be necessary.

    Good luck

A while ago I head an ear infection (the inside swelled up.) so that might be it.

      Thanks anyway!

    Hi James

Seen as you have had an infection it could be just a matter of time before you get better but perhaps you should have your ears checked to see if the infection has cleared up.
