Tips following surgery of Dermoid Ovarian Cyst

Hello

I have Laparoscopic surgery this coming Tuesday for a dermoid cyst on my left ovary which on my last scan in February was 8.5cm.

What I am after is any tips and advice on the day of the surgery and afterwards whilst recovering.

    Hi. One week ago I had two dermoid cysts removed and the largest one was 25cms. Due to the size I had to have an abdominal cut. The one thing I would say is the wind pain from the gas is not nice so drink peppermint tea and ask your doc about wind ease or something like that.. Best of luck.

      Hello Greta, Thanks for your response.   I had two dernoid cysts removed last Friday by emergency operation.  One cyst was wrapped arpund my ovary 3 tinmes!.  I have had the shoulder pain which has now passed, but I am now feeling very dizzy.  are you feeling like this?

      Luckily no. I'm sure that will be one of your pain meds. Good luck with it all. I found that once I got off all the strong meds and was back at home I started to feel a lot better. Each day gets better.
