Tips for constipation with hemorrhoids?

Hi there,

I’m a 16 year old female dealing with IBS-C for almost two years now. I was managing my constipation with laxatives and diet for the most part of those two years but have just recently given birth.. leaving me with terrible external hemorrhoids. I have tried fibre, increased water intake, magnesium, colace, healthy diet but my constipation persists, leaving my hemmorhoids unable to heal. I cannot take pain meds, Ice doesn’t help, tried warm baths and witch hazel... what can I do to ease the pain??

My recommendation is to get them removed.  The surgery is very quick and not too invasive.  I had it done a few times.  I'd consult a good colon rectal surgeon.

I know that's probably not the answer you wanted to hear but they would be gone once and for all.  I'd rather bite the bullet and deal with the discomfort of surgery once than deal with discomfort on a daily basis.

It’s  not painful is it? Like it doesn’t require any medications? Because I definitely don’t want to risk pain meds again.

No it honestly isn't.  The pain you are going through right now is worse trust me.  I took extra strength Tylenol 2 days I was 100% again.  Trust me it's totally totally worth it!  The daily struggle will be over.

Hi kylie, I am sorry you have to go through excruciating pain due to hemorrhoids, I know how does it feel like. Well you can always use over the counter suppositories or topical creams for hemorrhoids...You have to apply the cream at that region for 3 to 4 times a day...The key is to deal with constipation...Once you will control your constipation hemorrhoids will also come under control...I use ISOBGUL for constipation, which is soft fiber, U can have it 2 or three times a day if your constipation is too severe...It helped me in my IBS-C and hemorrhoidsbiggrin

Try anusol for the haemorrhoids; while ice may not help with the pain, it may help to shrink them.  Eat, lots of fruit; oranges and prune juice helped me,   Stool softemers should make your stools easier to pass.  Avoid straining for a bowel movement.

I have experienced that a month before giving birth. Oh I was crying! I used to put coconut oil, it soothes it. Though, you can try lemonaid, it works with bloating, constipation and even hemorrhoids because of the turmeric used/
