I was officially diagnosed with RA in December. I have has 2 infections since the last landed me in the hospital for 4 days 3 in i.c.u. my rhuatoid arthritis Dr. Lowered my medicine to build up my immune system. The pain level is close to intolarable. I called her but she is on vacation until Thursday. I hate this disease. You have the severe side affects or you don't take your medicine then you can't move. How's that for choices? I am tired,sore and depressed

    sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly sad  You are damned if you do and damned if you don't, as you say 'how's that for choices'  I hope you get some help soon. x

    Hello Ted, yep, I know where you are coming from. I've had my methotrexate stopped due to lung complications and my Benepali stopped due to recurrent chest infections. I'm currently on oral prednisolone in the interim until they're satisfied I'm infection free (my rheumy's suggestion) There's no reason your GP can't prescribe this? Good luck. Carol
