Tired of ME

Hi Everyone,
It's been a while, firstly i had problems connecting last week and when the sun is out th PC gets shelved
The past 2 weeks i feel worse than ever, Not only do my joints ache but my muscles ache now too, especially my thighs and back. I can't stand for long periods.
Does anyone suffer from burning thighs, it feels like they are on fire when i go to bed. My knees ache constantly and they feel they are on fire too.
I am so fed up with all this and i've only had this for 3 monts. Don't know how all you brave people out there have coped with this awful illness for years.
I am also worried that i am beginning to feel a bit down, more than usual. I have an appointment with my occupational health doctor next week, so we'll see what she says, hopefully she'll understand the condition.
My GP has referred me to the Homeopathic hospital, they have a clinic for these conditions, unfortunately there is a big waiting list, approx 6 months
Hope you are all having a good day!

Sorry you are not feeling well.
I have problems with this, burning thighs and heavy legs
As I was feeling down my GP put me on Prozac  which I took somewhat reluctantly :?
Anyway my mood did lift :D and an ineresting side effect was that it reduced these muscle pains :D When I mentioned this she said they are doing studies into it as other people with auto-immune illnesses had reported similar effects.
Might be worth a go..

Thanks for that! Yes i get heavy legs too. Like you i would be really reluctant to take anything (must be the nurses in us) I am due to GP on Monday so will discuss these symptoms with her.
My right shoulder and neck are very painful today and i'm worried it may be fibromyalgia. I've always had pain and stiffness in joints but never this.

I do get aches too but mostly in my neck, knees and wrists, ppl too keep telling me ive got fibromyalgia but my doc assures me i havnt, just another side affect to M.E,
I do get down too but i try to keep my mind active (I.E chatting online or gaming) to lift my spirits again, i just refuse to take tablets (unless theres a miracle cure for M.E).
As potentionaly this could last for years might be worth looking at doing a hobbie of some kind (not to active) to keep your spirits going and your mind active, it has certainly saved my life a few times
Good luck with your doc
Spk soon

It's good to be finally able to make a posting.
Yes, I too, have been in a lot of pain for the last few weeks and am beginning to feel really down as a result. My legs are so heavy this morning and everything hurts and my fibromyalgia (neck and shoulders) is already burning - I feel like going back to bed. How on earth can one feel more tired waking up than when going to bed? I feel just as if I have been run over by a huge truck during the night and my body is battered and bruised. So I think that today is going to be a bit of a dead loss. And we've lost the sunshine too and that doesn't help.
Well, this is a really exciting posting folks - I will go and have a wash and brush up (somehow) and try and get myself moving and then perhaps do something positive- like stop feeling sorry for myself for starters!!
At least we know how each other feels - I've just given up trying to explain how awful I feel to non-sufferers - I'm too tired to talk anyway, and I think I must have corrected this posting at least 93 times!
Take care everyone - maybe that magic cure is just round the corner -(that'e me trying to be optimistic!)

Nice to know i am not alone.
Katie i know what you mean about feeling you've been hit by a truck, i said to my husband today, "Did i run a marathon in my sleep last night" coz that's what it feels like.
I have just started getting the burning sensation on my thighs and now my back and shoulders. I'm totally exhausted.
Normally i look forward to the summer hols when the kids are off but this time i'm not. I hope the weather is good and they will be happy playing outside.
Going for a :coffee: and carry on watchin "loose women". This is what my life has been subjected to. :wah:

In fact I watch all the reality shows as well (except Big Brother -yuk!) and feel really lost now the Saturday night 'Nancy' one is finished - I NEVER used to be in on a Saturday night once upon a time.
Maybe the Beeb could come up with a reality programme about ME sufferers - mind you, how dull that would be! Perhaps not such a good idea.
I've actually just taken the dog out for a walk this morning (the sun came out and tempted me), but felt as if I was walking on rubber the whole time - so didn't go far. Now feel achey and my eyes have gone all funny - so nothing new there then.

I think a reality show about ME sufferers would be better than watching Big Brother.
I too used to enjoy an exciting social life but my weekend entertainment is what's on TV. I'm more an X-factor fan. If i go out I am home for 10.30pm when i was used to being the life and soul of the party. My friends can't get used to that.
:cross:
One day i'll be able to party again.

Not been able to log on for a while but am here now! :o
At least we have not sunk as low as Jeremy Kyle  I will miss The Apprentice now that has ended.
I have stiff neck and shoulders but not fibromyalgia. Have just been diagnosed with impingement syndrome in my right shoulder, which means I have a trapped tendon and osteoarthritis, requiring surgery :wah:
I will come on the picnic :burger: but will have to go in the side-car now instead of pillion cos I aint got the arm power to hold on!
Been stiff since my car crash but went for a new car yesterday and came out with a toy-boy!!
BOGOF... bought the car and got the salesman free :ok:
Life in the old dog yet :nahnah:
