Tired of this

It has been six months since I've been dealing with this flare up. I have had issues throughout my life but never realized what it was. I have been suffering the worst pain of my life after 53 years on this planet.

I am a grown man and I feel useless. I can't even get out of the house for more than 30 minutes without feeling anxiety. It feels like razor blades every time I have a BM. I sure hope there's some relief of this in the near future because this is unbearable.

Yes it is very painful. But if you learn to manage, you suffering will be reduced.

    1. Have sitz bath after BM and once more during the day.

    2. Avoid food which gives you constipation. Avoid spices. Drink suffering water.

    3. After sitz bath , apply oinment. Take prescription for this.

    4. Lie down for 30 to 40 minutes after BM + SITZ + OINMENT.

    5. During leisure, lie down.

    6. Mix ISABGOL (Indian name - check for scientific name on net) 1 table spoon to glass of water and drink before sleep.

    7. Drink warm water mixed with honey , when ever possible.

Try this for 10 days and experience the comfort. I hope / pray it will reduce your suffering. I had similar experience, now I have Learned to managed my routine. In case if I have to attend v v important meeting / task , than I take a pain killer (rarely).

    Hello

You need to go see a rectal specialist as soon as possible I've been there done that got the T-shirt the button the pin and the balloon.

I believe the figure is 30% of people that get fissures need surgery it won't get better on its own!!!!. You could try all the witches brew in the world but for some like myself nothing would work.

      Yes..Lateral Internal Sphincterotomy:

Go on YouTube there are several videos if this is anybody's condition (fissure) not getting better ,once you understand it you may see and know it's time for surgery.. BEST THING I ever did. After recovery I never felt pain at all again. And trust me it was bad for me too. 😨😨😨BRUTAL.

My husband did a surgery for hemorrhoids but he also had a fissure which they removed with laser. It's been two weeks now and he is in extreme pain whenever he has a BM

Sorry to hear . Living with that pain, there it's nothing like it and the problem here is you happen to use the backdoor often and it keeps injuring. You can't live , youre stressed you can't eat what you want, you can't be too far from the LOO + SHOWER. It's exhausting..

Go and see your GP - they can give you a cream to increase blood flow to the area to speed up healing.

Hi again i always hear people say that if you managed it and be careful avoiding constipation then it’s ok. I don’t agree with that once the fissure passes 6 weeks it’s becomes chronic anal fissure and the only way is LIS opp. Trust me . I went true all kind of way it did help but never hilled ,that’s what important it could come back. Try the opp LIS maybe 1-2-3 days disscumfort and then in about 2- 8 weeks the fissure hills and you go back to your normal live. All the best

Here are some suggestions I have for you to help you through:

    1. Try somee zinc oxide in the form of calmoseptine which has menthol to soothe the area down there as well. Calmoseptine can be bought at almost any local drugstore and can be bought online too.

    2. Try squatting when going on the toilet instead of sitting. This is a much  helathier position and the poop sometimes will just slide out,  no pushing or straining involved.

    3. I would definately take a fiber supplement, specifically metamucil  is what I take evveryday,  in ordr to allow your stools to be soft and to allow them to pass thorugh easily. THis being said, with any fiber supplemetn, you must drink lots of water when using them, or they will not work veffectively. Also, do not take too much as too much fiber can irritate your bowels on the way  out and diarreah actually does worse down there.

    4. I would recommend getting a sphicteronomy surgery if htings dont get better. I waited it out, gave up, had the surgery, and was able to heal within about two weeks. I had a chronic fissure, so I knew where you are ocming from with v all the pain and discomfort.

Try listening to music to distract your mind a bit, especially when going to the bathroom. If you are in writing pain, distract yourself with a movie or TV show right after. Also, to prevent myself from screaming and from putting more stress in the area down  there, i bit down on a washcloth in order to make the tensions with my teeth instead of my sphicter muscle.

Hope this helps!!! Sorry to hear about all the pain youve had.

    Best,

    Myles
