Tired, yawning, feeling cold and dizzy

My GP increased my dose from 5 to 10mg a few weeks ago. I started to feel tired, now exhausted and dizzy. No side effects from Ramipril over the last few years on 5 mg dose. Think I need to get it reviewed. Can't really function like this.

I have tried Amlodopine, Rampiril & Telmisartan with limited success in reducing my blood pressure which is around 145/90. However, I too experienced various side effects including swollen ankles, dizziness & a general whoosyness. I have now stopped taking my BP meds & can honestly say that I feel much better in myself. My head is clearer & I no longer feel as if I'm viewing life through a blurred lens. I am 60 years old, physically fit, eat well & not overweight. I was never going to hit the magic 120/80. I am now actively persuing natural remedies for reducing my BP eg. stress reduction, diet (inc. salt, caffeine reduction) & daily exercise. I accept that for many meds are the only option they have for controlling BP.

Thanks for this. I too am in my 60's and feel  physically fit. Viewing my life through a blurred lens- that sums it up exactly! Thanks for your response. Food for thought.
