Am 3and a half moths post op and wake up in the morning not being to move the knee it seems to be very stiff. Still not back at work but having lots of physio . Things seem slow to improve thinking is this as good as it is going to get.have one good day then two bad . Still taking strong pain killers . My knee bend is at about 88 bend . I all so have a lot of pain at the bak of the knee this seem to have just started . Is this normal ? Have found out that when they tell you that you will have a nice new knee no one seems to tell you about the pain afterwards it is seems to me that I have along way to go and I am a bit fed up think will it ever be better.

goodness me this forum has helped me so much in the last nearly 6 weeks post op...I was slightly open mouthed at her comments. I must be useless then...still walking with a crutch and sometimes 2 outside....my daughter dropped me to work the other day and it is only 10 mins from home and I said I would walk back...even my colleagues thought I was stupid ...and none of them have had the op....halfway home I realised that although it was fab to be out in the cold UK sunshine I struggled big time to make it home. The next day my knee was huge again and my muscles tight....We don't need negativity on here thankyou...Sarah

I've deleted the offensive posts and deactivated jane's account. As hard as it may be, the best way to deal with users like this is ignore them and report the post as a few of you did. I will action as soon as I see reports.

Good call....appeared she was in the wrong forum. I'm sure there is one for mental health issues where she should have been getting help

I don't think she had had a knee replacement at all myslf,  I think she just wanted to create an argument and stir things up, so you are right OFG she has mental health issues.

Fortunately all her comments had been deleted by the time I came to read this post . . You get 'trolls' in all these forums . or is it forae?  However much we can say 'ignore it' it hurts the person it's aimed at . .totally out of order!

Yeeh!!!! She tore into poor Archie like a jilted lover then sent the same crude message to me. I can imagine she went to bed laughing at her own wit.

Yes, I was wondering why she was on this forum in the first place if she was doing so fabulously!

Roland, I'm so sorry about your infection coming back! How are you feeling? How are you and your wife coping? It's things like this that makes me wish we were all close enough to personally help out!

The terrible weather you have been having doesn't help matters, I'm sure making it difficult to get to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, etc.

I'm sending positive thoughts - tomorrow is March 1st so hopefully spring will make an early appearance!

      Take care, Betty

I notice in another post, she says she has PVNS, and also a partial knee replacement , and is probably going for the total knee replacement . . . . you would think in that case she would be more in tune with how people on this forum feel!  All the best for Wednesday OFG and just keep thinking about June and the golf course beckoning by Autumn perhaps?

Thanks forctgw kind thoughts and concern. I went yesterday for the pre op assessment and met w/my doc. Infection levels are high enough they are starting to drain me of energy and causing my entire body pain. Right now we are getting things accomplished slowly. Just finished with the grocery shopping and. Will have to sit till I can get my strength back, then start getting someeals I'm the freezer. As for me, outside of the pain, etc, I will be o.k. Going to a rehab unit for 2-3 weeks so my every need will be met.

I just have to be patient and take things as they come. One of my favorite times of the year, the NCAA basketball tournament will be starting soon. Basketball morning til night, Thursday through Sunday. My favorite team will be in for the 1st couple of weeks probably, so its something to keep me busy. Doc thinks my strength will improve in a couple of weeks if all is o.k. His assessment of the problems, the antibiotic quit working 90 days ago and that and the kidney infection triggered this mess. He is doing mine early wed morn. and the same thing to a hip that is being referred to him by a smaller hospital in a rural area in the afternoon. Slow process but if it works it'll be worth it. Far better than letting it get into the organs

Thank heavens they are dealing with this quickly.  Enjoy the basketball games, and dream of golf by autumn!  the quicker they clear this infection out of your system the better!  Hope you are able to get back on internet soon.

Thanks and happy you are with the group. This forum reminds me of my years in elementary school in a high tech way.

During WWII we got a weekly tabloid that dealt with world and local events, a cartoon on character building and a list of kids around the world with whom you could become a pen pal. You would write a letter that would be sent to a translation service and then forwarded to the other kid. It would take a month going and if you got an answer it would be almost 2 months to finish the process. Some of those letters would only be 2/or 3 short paragraphs

Always interesting but so painfully slow.

Take care and keep up the process

      Hi Alan,

I was fortunate enough not to have read "Janes" comments. All the people on this site try to help each other not upset, very pleased you deleted all of her comments. We can do without the likes of her on our site.
