TKR - Anybody "loose" flexion and extension after already achieving it?

At 5 weeks I was 0 - straight leg and 95 bend. I had home therapy twice a week until then. I started out patient - given home excercises to do every hour. Now I am down to -2 and 88 bend??? What the heheck? Working harder than ever before?

    Just be careful not to overdo the exercises there is a fine line lay off and rest it .

    Hi Milla, I always find my knee does the exercises better when the joint is really warm. So I massage the joint with BioOil get it lovely & warm the try the exercises. But don't overdo them thats when you get the swelling which restricts the movement.

    Keep your new joint warm, apart from when you're icing lol, if you want to stretch do that often, but calm down a bit on the exercises. Remember this bit of advice I was given, it's not the quantity of exercise but the quality that matters.

      Thanks Marilyn I am going to try that. My surgeon fired the physical therapist (too aggressive) and I am starting to start with someone new today.
