I’m noticing that over time as the swelling goes down I’m getting a lot more clicking coming from my knees. Any idea why.

Both my knees click and it's been 14 years. I don't have any idea what causes it. But, the great thing is they do not hurt!

For the majority of patients, the clicking, popping, clunking sounds go away in the 12-18 month range. However, since every TKR is individual, you may find that they have subsided in a shorter or longer time period. There's no way to know. I'm 4 years post-op and still hear an occasional clunk once in a while. All normal...toss your worry away.

Had my left TKR in June 17, revised April 19 and now sounds like Im wearing flip-flops when walking. My physio tells me 'they all do it' so I try to ignore it. Its not painful, just a bit unnerving.
