TKR in 4 days - reducing swelling machine???

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi,

I have severe arthritis in both of my knees. My surgeon recommended doing the first knee now and the other 3 months later. What do you guys think from your experience?

My first operation is this week. I read somewhere on here that it's good to invest in something that produces ice or something you wrap around your knee which keeps it cool to reduce swelling.

Does anyone know the name of this?

Also, any post op tips?

Thank you sooo much for your help in advance

Hi, i had my TKR on left last Friday, the ice cuff you are referring is Aircast Knee Cryo Cuff

I am in pain mainly at night sleeping is tough. Everyones advice is to follow the exercises post surgery. It is tough and you may feel like you are not progressing but keep trying. I am struggling but i am trying to keep moving. My physio starts next week. Hope you are ok.
