had a TKR Two years ago and have plenty bend and movement in it. Still sore at the back and inside of the knee and as you say walk totally different. My left knee also needs done but after having the right done and still having pain after two years i'll wait till my left one collapses before having to have it replaced

i had my RTKR two yrs ago and had scar tissue issues early on - had a manipulation and its been terrific. I have left one scheduled for MAY 23. I pray for an excellent outcome because i am in pain every day! BEST of luck with your adhesion removal. Please let us know how it went!

Hi...Sorry you are suffering. When I read these posts and other people's responses it does make me feel I am not alone.
I have a new knee just over a year ago and started off so well....not much pain but it has gradually got worse. I can feel something in my knee all the time, discomfort walking up and down stairs, burning sensations sometimes. I have seen consultant, had xray and he tells,me that sometimes this happens that you always feel there is something in your knee and all seems normal.
I had a hip done 6 months ago which went really well but I am very worried about having my other knee done.
My husband had a new knee last week and is struggling big time so we are investing in a stair lift which I am sure will help, especially once I have to have my arthritic shoulders done.
Oh the joy of getting old.
So, soldier one and I hope you are feeling better soon and you are not the only one!

I too wish I never had my knee done. I have had 4 surgeries on the same knee and it's still painful. They're still trying to figure out what's wrong. its on the inside of the knee but all over too. just trying to hang in there.

i know how u feel.
i saw the consultant tonight well his young registrar who infomed me that in a small number of cases TKR is not successful. (a small number he stressed) and he nodded that I was one of the unlucky ones and I would have to put up with it.
i broke down into tears saying that the whole experience had ruined the quality of my life and it was terrible what they'd done to me. He really didn't know what else to say. It was like I was been written of.
when I requested a second opinion he went off to see the consultant who said he would arrange for me to have a triple bone scan to see if there was any underlying infection. so the saga continues.

i agree i wish i had never had it done
its completely destroyed my quality of my life.
i can no longer walk properly - i cant wear any of the shoes I used to wear. my leg has gone completely stiff and is becoming like a dead leg.
i get no proper sleep because the pain wakes me up. cant bend down or kneel
