I live in france and I went to see my surgeon yesterday and have to have my replacement on 2nd May........so SCARED.
Iam amazed that he said I will be in and put in the day, even though I will have a general..
can anyone put my mind at rest please. I have had a new hip and that was a dodle, but dont know why but am crying and so scared.

I am very surprised you are in one day! Here we are kept in longer , and if its a private hospital even longer for rehab . I would query this as I had a drip in for over 12 hours with intravenous antibiotics , also they like to get you up and moving and doing some physio before they send you home. I hope it all goes okay for you , I am sure if you are not up to it they will keep you in longer .

hi Jenny I thought is was strange, I had my hip replaced 4 years ago I was in over night then went to rehab for 6 weeks, we also live a 2 hour drive up the mountain, I am concerned about it. Thinking of asking if I can go to rehab..
Do you think I will be able to go on hols in August in our motorhome..? thank you for your reply..
