Day 3 and completely different from first one think I'd prepared myself in mind and body and knew what to expect. Sticking to taking my painkillers as per hospital AND intend to do a lot more rest. Even slept for 5 hrs and not constipated neither.
So all you fellow tkr participants stick in its worth it. Mind I believe I have a marvellous consultant. Good luck to everyone

Lynn....prepare your home well for after the surgery so things are a bit easier.
I am almost 4 months out. Yes, the first month was difficult but it does get easier over time.
Keep in touch on this forum. People here were so helpful and I knew I wasn't alone during the more difficult weeks with questions.
Physical therapy was the difference for me 3 x a week. I will always feel indebted to that group for their positive attitude in helping me and understanding my pain level and limits as we went through the process. It encouraged me to do my home exercises as well. ,
Ask family and friends to visit you and help out, too. Most people are very willing to help. And that can lift your spirits as well.
You'll get through it!
