TMJ Disorder

H everyone;  this I think is related to my Fibromyalgia, but could also be another joint problem secondary to Osteoarthrites.....there are times that I get confused which issue is related to which condition??  I have a Specialist Appointment on Monday  (16th) to tell me which, and what needs to be done...my dentist mentioned re a Brace to wear (also ? outside of face/jaw...ha)..I can't see any more medications will help, and hav found via research that surgery will probably only make things worse.....but real probably is that pain is exacerbated by Talking and Eating....the two things that All of us always do.. I know 1 cause is said to be grinding of teeth at night, but to me that doesn't seem plausible, as I feel it would be worse in am, not graadually progress through day to evening???   Has anyone else had/experienced this issue?

Unsure of what you have been told, and at what point you are curently at, but after numerouse doctors and so few who understand TMJ, I lived it and understand correct procedure for TM Joint disfunction. I have only one recomendation and that is Dr. Larry Wolford in Dallas Texas in USA.  I spent years and finally ended up with Consepts (prosthetic jaw joints), bilaterally.  I wouldn't be here, if not for this sugeon.  Doctors don't even know what to do for TMJ.  It takes numerous doctors (multi-disaplinarian approach) and a dedicated surgeon like Dr. Wolford who acheived getting the above namd prosthetics FDA approved.  Please update me of your condition. I completely understand the suffering and pain associated.  I wish you well and others who may stumble upon this for the same reason.  Please let me know exact diagnosis and symptoms.  I sympathize and would like to help.

Dr. Wolford has many fellows that he has trained that If memory serves, were from Brazil.  They are probably back there by now.  I am sorry to hear you have been through so much.  Can you be more specific about you condition.  Is it TMJ, or is your disc in the joint of you TM displaced or scrunched forward?  I am new to this and realized how to do private message.  CristeeLinn
