TN - Reiki

Hello Everyone
Firstly thank you all for the response we have received after posting on here about our Daughters recent diagnosis with TN.
Some news after ending up in A&E again the other evening, we finally spoke to a Doctor that knew more about the condition and spoke to her in length about what to expect and possible triggers and most importantly he did some tests and took her blood pressure and temperature of which no other doctor has done. However he was also convinced that the diagnosis is correct.
We took her for a Reiki session on Friday night and since then she has slept through the night for two nights which is a massive breakthrough for her and also she has managed to eat a biscuit and some toast without a massive pain peak triggering off. We can only think that the Reiki has relaxed her so much that the pressure has been relieved from that nerve plus we need to take into consideration that her Carmazeipine medication is probably now starting to take effect. However all that said she was able to go through yesterday without taking any further added pain relief and she was smiling again which makes our heart melt to see her like this again. For all those who have not tried Reiki yet it might be worth a try, nothing ventured nothing gained.
All the best to everyone

Hi Paul,
Reiki's great if it works. I've tried practically all alternative therapy without success including Nano Vibronix ($A900 on the internet). The only thing that works for me is Neurontin. The neurologist won't perform any kind of operation as I only have hearing in the right ear and that's nearly gone. It's day to day for me. I wish I could believe in God but logic tells me that's superstition and if there is a God he or she gave me the problem in the first place. I've been mini trampoline bouncing for 30 minutes every morning and that seems to help.
Best regards.

We know what you mean and will try anything for some relief.
We feel that the Reiki has helped in some way but we are also well aware that the amount of tablets she is on now is also probably starting to take their effect.
However all said and done it seems to have helped to relax her and this is a good thing and the fact that since the Reiki she has slept through the night and is being able to eat and chew is an absolute blessing.
Thank you for letting us know what works for you as it is so helpful for us when we finally get to see the Neurologist and find out what is the best way forward.
We are interested in the mini trampolining bouncing that has been of some help to you.
We will never give up looking at all options.
All the very best to you PaulĀ
