    Hi

I’m not a good sleeper either and I also get the feeling that my heart stops for a second. Mentioned it to the Dr who said that most definitely does not happen and more likely to be caused by anxiety. It did reassure me but it still happens from time to time. Know it’s strange but what I find helps is hugging a small cushion to your chest. Try not to worry ( hard I  know) as sure it is anxiety based and once you are asleep everything calms down.

    Hi Gamerrage,

This is part of your anxiety disorder. You need to go back to the doctor or therapist who is treating you for this and discuss this new development. Your heart is not stopping - if it had you'd already be dead and unable to post - and you're not going to die.
