I've trained hard eight years. Never had an issue with prostatitis. Who told you that weightlifting causes it?

I would try going lighter with the weights and/or taking a warm sitz bath after working out. An anti inflammatory like Alleve might be helpful as well as long as you don't have significant BPH symptons (like retention) in addition to the prostatitis.
